I get so stressed out

Postby simply_a_dreamer » Sun Mar 30, 2003 1:48 pm

Anyone got any advice about how I can stop being so nervous/ tense?

I've failed my driving test 5 times purely because I have been so tense. It's not that I can't drive, you have to be of a certain ability to be put in for the test in the first place!

I have exams in the summer and I think it will really affect me this year.

Advice would be appreciated

Relaxation is the key. Tell the instructor you are nervous, most people are. Think about being able to drive afterwards and if you get it out of the way you wont have to do it again. Stay focused more on the positives. Hope this helps, it helped me.

I tend to feed my energy off music. So for a driving lesson/test why not listen to some music, then go in to the beat. I know this seems weird, but if you've got the song in your head and not concentrating so hard, perhaps that'll help.....Or perhaps I'm weird.
