Or (stealing Bel Bel's idea) invite friends around for a DVD night or something, and make some home made soup and get some popcorn. You could eat the soup whilst you have friends over, no one will be watching, they'll all be interested in the DVD. Popcorn could also be good, if you are feeling brave you could try and eat it in front of them, and if not well it's a snack that I'm sure won't go to waste.
A hug is a great gift, one size fits all.
