She got pregnant while having no periods, as far as I can understand they had stopped but while the egg was still viable, and it can survive for a while, but there were clear physical and mental consequences to this, which we still deal with now he is in his twenties, nothing major but noticeable next to his brother who was born a few years later ie he has the classic prem baby eyes despite going to term, and he doesn't deal with stress or change at all well, along with being a tiny bit OCD (but we love him when he isn't being a pain!)

Going to be a bit of the tightrope for the next few weeks, with you daring yourself to break your own rules and then panicking as soon as you go to far. You will slowly find a happy medium in treating yourself and maintaining the advantages of your dieting/exercise but it as you say isn't going to happen overnight.
