OCD

Postby Weasley » Tue Jul 03, 2012 12:37 pm

Hi everyone,

I have just been diagnosed with OCD (something I have been suffering with for most of my life) and I just wondered if anybody else out there suffered and if so, in what way and how do you cope?

I am currently on anti depressants for depression and anxiety, however the doc suggested I try CBT to start with, however the waiting list to get a session is immense and I'm not sure I want to wait that long before speaking to someone?

Thanks guys...

Is it possible to pay fro some CBT privatley. It is amazing and I have seen many peoples lives transformed. CBT helps you to change the way you think so it is different than conselling.

If not what about a book to get you started on your own.

I have a few OCD's but that are generally ok and don't affect anyone else or take over my life but stress definately makes them worse so try I to avoid it.
