Bullying

Postby ghostuponthefloor » Mon Jul 17, 2006 11:44 pm

I was reading on another forum about a child who comitted suicide because he felt too afraid to talk to his mother, i myself find this disgusting.

it made me think, maybe we're not being open enough? Maybe parents need to take more time to ask about their children's lives?

This is a poem to you all, to express my emotion from experiance.

The door

I know what it’s like to be bullied in school
To be told you’re worthless and to feel like a fool
At times I’d build up courage and I’d know what to say
But I thought you’d be mad, I didn’t want it that way
Because when you’re being bullied it makes you feel so small
That you just want to cry and curl into a ball
Because when you’re a child it makes you so scared
And you put bullying with the secrets that shouldn’t be shared
And when you get like that, there’s one thing you fear
And that’s that the ones you love won’t want to stay near
Then you close your eyes, and it closes your heart
Bleeding on the inside, being slowly torn apart
Then I came home from school one day
Broken tooth spilt lip, you happen to be in the hallway
You yell at me as I slam the door to my room
Your yelling gets louder, outside my door you loom
I had the chance to talk just then
But you were so mad, that was when
I caved in on myself, lost all hope
Looking round my room for something resembling rope
My feet dangle just above the floor
And you’re still yelling on the other side of the door

Please, take time to look at the people around you, no one should be driven to suicide because of someone else.

Let's look out for each other.
Yours sincerely and still breathing

Amazing poem, very impressive!
You should share that with many other people. You have a lot of talent. =D>
Whatever life throws at you, smile, hold your head up high and be the best you can possibly be.
