It's just really wierd! My fingers are tight together in this splint/bandage I have on and I can feel my ring finger touching my little finger but my little finger just feels dead! It's horrible! The surgeon said that the nerve will grow back at a rate of around 1mm a day so it will take about 2 months for it to grow back completely but it still might not be the same again! He also said be careful of hot things etc! It sounds so stupid but I could just be sat there with my finger burning away and I wouldn't even know! I'm just soooooo bored...I go back to work next Weds (get the splint and stitches out Tues) and until then I just don't know what to do with myself...I've already watched all I can of Jeremy Kyle and Maury Povich. I also heard that my hand will stink real bad too when they take the bandages off...not looking forward to that! Urgh!

Weasley, stop thinking of all the negative things! [-X
You could stay in front of the computer and post replies on PP in the mean time, though it may be a bit difficult to manage with the poor little finger of yours.
You could hold your breath when they take the bandages off too. Or use nose pegs! :P

Also, at least it was just 1 little finger, not ALL. :o
Even if it your finger isn't the same again after two months, it should be better.

Take Care.

Just to update you...
I've finally had the stupid splint off yipee! Had to have it on for 4 weeks after my plaster so am now letting my hand get some freshair! My finger is getting better slowly, it bends more now than it did after physiotherapy. The problem is I have a huge scar on my hand which is the length of my palm and zig zaggy (like Harry Potter!) It's all lumpy and hard but I'm putting bio oil on it and silicone gel pads at night. The tendons have got stuck in the scar tissue so they aren't gliding properly yet but the doctor says they should loosen them self as the scar softens and my finger will be free, but the tendons are still very weak.
Oh well...at least I'm on the mend and last night I went in the shower and washed my own hair! Liberating!!!!!

Must be a relief to wash your hair by yourself! :P
Hope the tendons will get stronger! Glad you finally got that uncomfortable splint off! :D
