birthday

Postby Raven » Sun May 11, 2008 4:59 pm

it's my birthday today, and i'm really miserable :(

my boyfriend and I have been split up a month, and I secretly hoped he'd maybe email or text to acknowledge my b'day, even though I said I can't talk to him because it upsets me. Stupid of me to expect anything from him anyway.

Can't believe I'm letting this affect me when it's meant to be a happy day!

it sounds like your at rock bottom and the only way from here is up Raven.

To be honest it's probably better the ex didn't contact you or these feelings about him would start all over again and you'd be back to square one

Your still greiving at the moment and soon enough you will come out the other side and decide enough is enough and then you can make up for lost time

One month is not enough to just forget about how you felt about him before. It takes more time (unfortunately!) to move on and I'm sure you'll be able to get there. Enjoy yourself with your family and friends in the meantime, and Happy Birthday!

Hope you had a happy birthday in the end. Did you get any nice surprises as the day went on?

Dont worry, it takes a while to move on, but take comfort in the fact that you will definitely move on in time. A month isnt much, so dont pressurise yourself.

Thanks everyone. Yes you're right, it's better he didn't contact me. Why should he anyway? We're not together anymore.

I did have a nice birthday, we went out for a meal then to a couple of pubs :)
