I have a long term back problem and an exercise I find helpful is:

Lay on your back with your legs bent, then bend your legs to one side and strech your arms to the other, it is an exercise used after back surgery to strenghen it again, be careful doing it but I may help ease the muscles.

What painkillers have they given you?

I've had similar for my back pain. Had very strong codine and diazapam at some point and it made me really spaced out!

Well my back is beginning to relax - one of my friends is taking me to a spa to have a jacuzzi tomorrow to see if that helps.

had a call from the head who was very worried and said my health was very important and to take the whole week - as i have been signed off and not to rush back to work.

So am going to try and stay sane - as i can't do much cos of my back - so can only go out if people are around to drive me and i do end up getting cabin fever!!

Hugs

Glad your feeling slightly better hun! Enjoy your day at the spa and make sure you relax and put your feet up! You can get that fiance of yours to wait on you hand and foot!! Take care xxx

Have taken a turn for the worse - am suffering from side effects from the diazepam - dizziness, hangover like symptoms, sickness - it's not at all fun.

Feel realy rough and nothing seems to help

Thanks kitten was hoping you would reply!
Lying down makes me feel worse - how long did your side effects last? The whole time you were on them?

I think my body got used to them in the end. They don't effect me too much now.

I found lying on my side was the best as lying on my back hurt.
