Let me tell you about my mum...

Postby worriedangel » Thu Aug 24, 2006 8:07 pm

This woman is the apple of my eye. She is such an inspiration to me and she doesn't know it, but I will one day tell her. Let me explain...

My brother has cerebral palsy. He cant do anything for himself, needs 24 hours attention, and is entirely dependent on mum. He's 19. Mum has ALWAYS given everything to him, never wavered, nothing. She also looks after 3 other children including myself (although I'm not 20 :) ) and she has done a briliant job. She is sucha lovely, valuble, fantastic person. She can never go out and socialise due to her family commitments with my brother, but she NEVER gets down. She puts everything into loving other people. I cannot possibly tell you how much I admire her; she is such a pillar of strength, my Mother is much more than I could ever be.

it just shows you, no matter what life throws at you, the most important thing is to love and be happy.

I love you Mum, one day i'll tell you just how much :)

Oh worriedangel!

How lovely! That is BEAUTIFUL! What a special lady your mother is, and what a great, caring daughter she has! You are taking after her perhaps? Maybe you should show her this post, I'm sure she will be so moved to see how her daughter doesn't take her for granted and sees what a star she is.. LOL I think you have brought a tear to my eye. That is lovely xxx

couldn't agree more!
Late at night when all the world is sleeping
I stay up and think of you and I wish on a star that somewhere you are thinking of me too...
So I wait for the day and the courage to say how much I love you

Worriedangel,

What a lovely post. Too often we complain about what's wrong in our lives, without thinking about what good things we have. You have definitely brightened my day, and I think you and your mum should be proud of yourselves. =D>

Thanks! :)

I try to take after her. I never take life or anything in it for granted; you never know which way life will take you. I try to imagine what it must be like to be living your life entirely for other people, and one specific person, and sacrificing everything to ensure the happiness of others. That is more than enough motivation for me to do every little thing I can for others, after all, my Mother does it fulll time, and she's perfectly happy.

Yep... I wish I could explain more, show more, illustrate thoroughly what one woman can go through and survive, full of heart. How she can give everything and get only others happiness in return. If I could do that, I'm sure more people, like me, appreciate life more. Appreciate the fact that had you been my brother, and needed full time care, you would have had all the love in the world. If only there was more of it. I'm most definetly going to pass it onto my children, and hopefully so on and so forth. If it makes one good deed, it's more than enough :D

ahh reading that made me go all mushy inside, really brought a tear to my eye. I always say that being a mum is not an easy job, as you have someone that relys on you for more or less their whole life, so i bet your mum would be happy to see how much you appreciate what she does for you and our other siblings. It was nice to read a post about something good, to be honest when I saw the title i expected it to start with 'i hate my mum etc' its what your used to seeing. You sound just as special as your mum, shes done a very good job.
