right it can go wrong because you can cut yourself but why not try to use a hair removing cream or wax strips because then it wont look so messy but it will hurt using wax but hair cream burns it off so which eva way you want to use just do it

It's no big deal, but make sure you are happy doing it, not just doing it to keep him happy. It can be quite nice. If you are shaving, allow lots of time, use a new blade and make sure you use shaving cream or foam. Oh, and be prepared for it to itch when it grows back! You could even get him to do it for you - some men find doing that a real turn on. I found I actually like being hair-free there, although most of the time it's just too much hassle!

Quite a few men do ask their partner to do this, while quite a few women do it for their own reasons as well. I remove all this hair, but I wax rather than shave, because it lasts longer (with shaving you are prickly again in about 48 hours, which isn't very sexy!).

However, as Missy said, you need to want to do it, rather than just wanting to please him. It's a chore to have to keep on removing this hair, plus it's part of your sexual identity. If you don't really want to, perhaps you could come to some compromise, such as a trim.

There are lots of previous threads on Problem Pages about this question as well: if you do a search you'll be able to read lots of advice.

Heya Janoid :D

I thought id reply to this comment as it is also one that i struggled with in the very same way. My boyfriend of 2 months decided that he didnt want to do anything unless i was clear so it was almost forcing me into it. I said that it was my choice and told him if he couldnt live with the way i was then that was his problem. Yeah maybe im a harsh person i dont know. To be honest when i first started shaving there it was about as helpful as a poke in the back! but after the first few days after the first shave it starts to become a routine and it doesnt itch anymore unless you get it too long! Its exactly like shaving under your arms after a while although if you get too close to that area you are in danger of 'cutting' yourself... :) Anyway this wasnt to put you off it was actually to say you should do what you wanna do but most people find it better... alot better my boyfriend would say... ;)

hey hun. like people have said dont do anything if your not happy with it. but as a first timer i would advice hair removal cream then when you feel happier try shaving. its fine once you get use to it just go slowly dont rush things.

ellooo, i'm sixteen and i've done every form of hair removal under the sun haha....
waxing is the best but shaving is a quick fix... so if you have time wax.

i don't think guys often consider the other forms of hair removal shaving just springs to mind because that's their way.
i'm sure he doesn't necessarily mean 'shave it'
however having said all of this... it's completely up to you and if he doesn't respect you enough to acknowledge that women have hair, then he doesn't deserve to be in your pants! =]

Well, only do something if you are completely happy about it. If you don't want to get rid of them, then don't. Having pubic hair shouldn't really make a difference in a relationship. But if you do, then look into it further for the best option.
