Here goes...

About a year ago I had a relationship with a guy (guyA) that lasted about 6 months, and I thought I was in love with him.

But now I'm with a guy (guyB) that I've been seeing for like, 7 months now, and he was the best, most trustworthy friend I'd ever had even before we started going out.

I feel so much more strongly for guyB than I ever did for guyA.

The thing is... How do you know if you're in love with someone? Without being with everyone in world anyway! lol.

I'm not sure how to answer that question, as I don't think I've ever been in love before! :-? If you really like B, just enjoy the time you spend with him. I'm assuming you're still a teenager since it's at the under16 thread. Nobody will know the outcome of this, but in the meantime, just relax and enjoy while you're still young.

This probably didn't help much, lol. Take Care anyway.

I'm 16 :)

It was more a philosophical question rather than a problem really.

:) I'm very happy with the way things are, I just wondered is all.

I know this is a rather irritating answer, but I'd say that if you're not sure whether or not you're in love, then you're not. You'll know it if you are.

It's hard to describe falling in love (like it's hard to describe any feeling in terms of other feelings) but the closest I could come would be to say it's like being temporarily high on some wonderful drug (but without any hallucinations, lol!). Everything about the beloved person has an almost magical quality: they are probably the reason the universe exists. You would do anything or sacrifice anything for them: a loose hair off the back of their jacket is more powerful and precious than the rarest gemstone; you see something, like a shopping list, written in their handwriting and it's more interesting than Shakespeare, etc etc. You want to be with the person every possible moment, and your being aches for them whenever you're apart. At the same time, this love for them is not generous, but hungry and selfish: YOU MUST HAVE THEM FOR YOURSELF.

Thankfully, this feeling fades after about a year or so, to be replaced with a much more realistic sort of love, more like the kind you feel for your parents, pets, friends, etc. However, this more realistic love always contains within it some of the magic of its beginning, that incredible feeling you had when you first 'fell in love' with the person.

That might all sound a bit melodramatic but it's how I see it , anyway!

you can love more than one person in your life and you can love them in very different ways

if your happy go with and don't try to think too deeply about it - my friend does that and ends up ruining things becuase she thinks too much about everything

I havn't read the other posts so i cant say if i'm repeating anything here but i just thought this may be helpful.

When i was 15 i went out with this amazing girl.
Truly the best relationship i've ever had.
Now, after almost 9 months it all falls apart.
She was, and still is (obviously), my first love.
I don't think i was truly in love with her.
But i did love her.
If you get me?

So Just sit back, enjoy the ride. I sure as hell did.
Love's over-pushed in todays society.
There's not one type of love that you need to find.
There are hundreds.
:) Stay smiling.

It would be easier for you to start your own post rather than tagging it on the end of another one.

If you like girl B then tell her; does girl B like you back?

If girl B doesn't want a relationship you can't push her into one. Don't go for girl A just because you can and just because she likes you; if you honestly like girl A then it's different.
