Don't forget to visit your user control panel!

Once you've registered and settled in be sure to check out your user control panel - or UCP for short. You can reach it by logging in and looking at the top, left hand side of the screen - you should see a link that says 'User Control Panel'.

There are quite a few options in the UCP but of special interest are additional fields that you don't have to fill out when you first register, such as date of birth - so you might not have noticed they were there. Also, now and again we might add a new field to the profile - we've just added 'Gender' - so it's worth having a look now and again even if you're already familiar with it. If there is a field that you think should be added don't be afraid to PM an admin. If we think it's worth it then we might run a poll to find out how many other people are in favour.

Did you realise that since the upgrade you can now create a 'Friends' list and a 'Foes' list? To do this just browse through a few user profiles and you should see the option to add them as either a 'friend' or a 'foe'. If you add them as a 'foe' then you will not be able to see their posts properly - it's the equivalent of ignoring them (although you can still receive personal messages from them). If you add them as a friend then their names will be easy to choose when writing a personal message, and some of their posts may stand out in the forums (this may not always work, it depends on the template that the forum is using).

So, what are you waiting for, go and have a look!
