No, Pee, goldfish don't perspire. In fact they don't drink either. Water is constantly getting into their bodies through their gills, and to a lesser extent, their skin. They spend their whole time just urinating it out. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if most of your tank water isn't in fact, fish urine. They don't, however, get rid of it through sweat glands.

Do you know, I'm not entirely sure that was a serious question :-k

Snail, hun, never mind whether it was a serious question or not - do I put ice cream in the tank and, if so, which flavour would they like best? :o

mini-milks don't have too many calories in them either, so we don't have to feel too guilty about it :)

Extremely loosely connected with the previous posts... :-s

On a flight to Ireland with my ex, we noticed a chap who had an empty fish tank on the seat next to him! (captain_flynn will probably laugh at that now!). When the plane landed, a girly was helped to the front by her friend, who said that girly was in severe pain because she’d been too nervous to use the loo on the plane – she was doubled over, and they had to get a truck especially to take her away before the rest of us got off!

But I’m SO glad my ex didn’t make the obvious suggestion about the girly and the fish tank to anyone but me…

haha thats weird. How long was the flight? If it was UK - Ireland thats not very long so im surprised she was in such agony! Having a fish tank on a plane seems rather random. Is it not a dangerous object to have sitting next to you in the event of an emergency?

It has been very quiet on here the last few days... perhaps it's the heat!

c_f, this was several years ago, probably in the days before 'Elf & Safety was invented! :D And the Irish are much more relaxed and random about everything (except using the loo on the plane???) - I still don't know why the owner of the fish tank didn't just ask girly if she wanted to borrow the fish tank; I would have, and I'm sure my fishies would have been very civilised about it...:bounce:

Aer Fungus, yep. :P And we bought WARM prawn & mayonnaise sandwiches when we landed - they're actually not supposed to be warm. And yet, we survived. :o

What's the furthest you've flown, hun? I should probably ask that in another thread, but this one is so random - just tell me where you've been, and add "choc ice" on the end, and we'll get away with it! :D Cos I've downloaded Paul McKenna's "conquer your fear of flying, you daft prat" , so I'll soon be starting a flying thread in every bit of PP.

I was tempted to say Aer Fungus before but didnt want to offend the Irish members :P I've got a few of my own names for BA too but I cant share them on here ;) Ive never had a prawn sandwich before, but can imagine its horrible when warm!!!!

Um im not sure actually. I've never thought about it as ive done alot of flights that were 'local navex' but could often make up a fair few miles and probably more than my pre-planned flights. I've flown into a few different airfields though. Some were in Cornwall.. and Cornwall has a relationship with ice cream ;)

I didnt know you had a fear of flying. If I can help in anyway dont hesitate to ask.
