I knew vaguelly what to expect although I did expect them to find him at the very last minute.

I thought it was a very good book, and displayed quite clearly why there racism is carried on in the world. Children might not understand why their parents do something, but often will be forced to accept their morals. So many people grow up with their parents views, merely because they don't know anything different. I found it quite disturbing!

yeah, and the last bit - "but something like that could never happen again. not in this day and age". I thought that was a good ending. I thought writing it through a childs eyes was a very interesting perspective.
