Your Dream Job

Postby m_m » Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:48 am

I was just curious as to what fellow pper's dream jobs were when they were a child and how that has changed now?

I always wanted to be a librarian or a secretary when I was little but now I would like to be a veterinary nurse or a zookeeper, lol, it seems mine should be the other way round!!

I'd like to run a lingerie shop. or be a journalist.

When I was a kid I wanted it all - doctor, lawyer, teacher, I wanted to be a fashion designer, an Olympic gymnast, a shopkeeper (lol).

Well, for a while i was living my dream job. I was a model and i loved it. They money wasnt as good as they make out but it was better than what i got working as a waitress.
Then i got pregnant and still got work doing maternity wear, and now no-one wants to hire the model with strech marks and a visable C-Section scar (used to do swimwear and lingerie)
So gutted lol. But life goes on and i wouldnt go back and change it now.

So dream job is now the family trade. Own a pub. Mum and Dad did it, Grandparents did it. Aunt and Uncle are doing it now.
All i need to do is get my personal lisence and work my way up.

Always wanted to be a teacher but they wouldn't let me on the PGCE course! :( Would now love a job working outdoors, like a green keeper or a scout master...totally random I know. I would also like to be a caddy.

I wanted to be a dentist, vet or pilot. I'd still say they would be my dream jobs, especially the vet.

My strech marks arnt as bad as they were, but thats thanks to about 20 million bottles of Bio Oil lmao. But i have different scars aswell from where my Belly peircing was. Its kind of streched my skin upwards instead of across my stomach. Lol
My c-section scar isnt as bad, but there is just one part of it that is very visable. Its on the right hand side where they started the insistion (spelling?) because it was emergency, it was like they cut me where ever the hell they wanted and how they wanted. It not neat and its very wibbly wobbly. Its just that one bit that you can see if i'm in my undies or Bikini.

Just looked at it, and its like a dimple lol. Its really difficult to explain lol.
Plus my Boobs arnt exactly where they used to be either, not that i ever did topless. But i can only wear certain bra's now lol.

Im full of excuse's arnt i? Lol.

I wanted to be an actress, in the theatre as I loved playing to a live audience
I was too scared to ask my dad if I could go to drama school
I joined a amatuer dramatics class, got a part then fell pregnant with my daughter and had to give up the part
Never been back since, having a child took up too much time. Perhaps I should look into joing a club again ....

I've never had a clue what I wanted to do and that's still my problem, heh. I honestly can't remember wanting to be anything in particular when I was a kid.

I would kinda like to be a journalist now, I'd like writing the stories etc. but I wouldn't like being pushy and invading peoples' privacy, so maybe not....

I always wanted to be an archaeologist when i was at primary school (how did i even know that word at that age?) until one day someone told me i'd be digging up dead things and there'd be maggots and insects and that put a dead stop to my ambition. since then it was artist, pilot, writer... and now i work in marketing. boooring....

My dream job since I was 2 has always been to be an airline pilot.
I currently have my private pilots licence, in the process of hour building before getting my commerical licence and instructors rating. Will instruct for a few years and then go off to the airlines. :D
