Women and cash machines/at the till

Postby allyp » Thu Mar 19, 2009 12:25 pm

Why does it take them so long to use one?

1. Go up to cash machine
2. Open Handbag
3. Take out purse
4. take out card holder from purse
5. take out card
6. Place card into machine
7. Open Handbag for diary containing PIN.
8. Put diary back into bag
8. Enter PIN
9. Machine timed out
10. Take Card
11. Open Handbag for diary containing PIN.
12. Check PIN
11. Place card into machine
13. Enter PIN
14. Check Balance
15. Press Cancel button by mistake.
16. Repeat steps 10 - 13
17. Recheck Balance
etc
etc
etc

Every time I get stuck behind a woman at a cash machine this seems to happen...same in a shop at the tills - they place everything on the belt, it gets scanned through...they then pay (after checking PIN about 10 times) - double check the receipt...have a quick chat with the cashier and THEN start packing the trolley which they have just emptied.... drives me ballistic...

And don't even start me on the self checkouts .... blimey it's not rocket science and yet people (not just women) don't seem to understand the basic instructions...

(Just a tongue in cheek thread kids son't lynch me for it!! )

I am very fast at the cash machine ill have you know lol. It's because I don't want to get robbed.

very good point emdoll, me too!

I always seem to queue in the slowest queue at supermarkets, and when i get to the top i'm ALWAYS behind some old doll who wants to pay for everything with vouchers and coupons, most of which are out of date! cracks me up!

and i do wonder sometimes what people are doing at atms that takes them so long, are they remortgaging heir house? taking out personal loans? these could be the only reasons it takes any longer than 20 seconds max to check your balance and lift cash.

maybe i'm just too impatient lol...
not if you were the last dandy on earth

I'm always stuck behind some old woman in my lunchbreak taking ages at the till when I'm in a rush to get back to the office! Typical!

I know this view is very unfair and selfish, but why do they always choose between midday and 2pm to do their shopping?! They have all day to mess about, but they choose the busiest period to turn up lol
