What do you do when you're really bored?

Postby peecee » Fri Mar 20, 2009 11:09 pm

Following on from the thread which complains that nobody has any problems these days (will insert a link when I can remember how... :P )

aaaaah - Is it just me

When things are quiet on PP and I get bored, or I'm driving all over the UK and can't find the time to get on here, I satisfy my craving by:- (come on, we all do SOMETHING when we're not on here - don't we............? 8-[ :P )

* Obviously, ice cream plays a large part. Obviously. [-X
* Checking the threads going back to 1812, in case there's anything worth bumping.
* Trimming nasal hairs, and knitting a tea cosy out of the bits.
* Sewing badges on our underwear, saying "I heart PP"
* Dusting pc monitor, so we can say we "did the cleaning" today.
* Getting a paper clip and flicking the sticky stuff out of our keyboard, ditto.

And...? :D

When it's quiet on PP, I go back and re-read every post from Peecee, to see if I can extract any more wisdom from them, or learn any more useful truths. I would imagine most PP-ers do the same.
How we spend our days is how we spend our lives.

When I'm at work I rotate between 4 websites. PP, Digitalspy, Heatworld and Facebook. I'm sad. If I'm bored at home, I have a nap!!

When I'm really bored, I think about all the work I've got to do - that takes me ages, and then I find I don't have time to do any of it. :D

When I'm really bored (which is usually at work) I:

- Check my mobile and emails 1000 times for messages (how sad!!)
- Click refresh on PP to see if anyone's posted something new
- Eat too much rubbish
- Wish I knew what job I want to do/had one I liked/had work to do!
- Plan my next adventure, be it a holiday or something to do at the weekend
- Look at Topshop's website and wish I hadn't as I can't afford anything
- Think of all the things that still need doing to our house e.g. treating the damp, re-painting the kitchen, yada yada!
We don’t see things the way they are; we see things the way we are

when i am bored at work, which isn't often, it's mor needing a break before my brain bursts, i chill out giving advice on p/p or sometimes if it's a real slow day (say just before and after xmas when everyone else is shut and we are still open) then i check out drphil.com or go on games.co.uk

if i am broed at home i think about doing lots of housework but just dust the bits i can see then i read a book, play ds or watch re runs of Rainbow (to help with my Zippy obsession) or reruns of columbo (I know i am sooo sad)
