. Thankfully we are a tiny (ok not tiny now) company; 25 of us sit upstairs so it's fairly easy to control the temperature

Its been relatively cold here today, but tonight we've been forcast some nasty convectional weather.
The problem is most weather websites conflict. I was looking on the BBC weather site and according to their map it should be raining in MK now with thunderstorms. However I was looking on the met office aviation section which locally for me stated this..
102120Z 00000KT 9999 FEW030 12/11 Q1008
which basically reads the date (10th) time of issue (21:20 Zulu time) winds calm, visibility above 10km, with few clouds at 3000ft, temperature 12C and dew point 11, Air pressure 1008 millibars..
I've looked outside, the aviation one is correct. There is no storms here.
However, apparently all reports come from the met office so its odd how they conflict.

I woke up to hear the news of "flash floods" in the North East this morning...They mean Derby and Sheffield as I so saw when I looked at the news. We had a "bit" rain last night; we had people from work at the Sunderland football ground seeing Oasis and they said there was a bit rain there.

It was raining quite heavily here this morning, though it's dry at the moment. It looks like it might rain again at some point though. Where has the sun gone?
I don't mind so much during the week, but I want the weekends to be nice (I don't ask for much do I? haha)

Thats what I say Ragdoll; most people could handle rain Mon-Fri and sun at the weekend. Although dry ground would be nice as well. Even if we were guaranteed 2 or 3 months of the beautiful sun we were having; then I think most people would be ok; you'd think ok it's raining but thats fine cos we'll have 3 months sun. Rather than 11.5 months of dull grey and rain and about a week of sun.
It hasn't rained here since I got up; the sky is a lovely blue with white fluffy clouds; there is one cloud which is more grey but the rest is lovely.

Do you remember when they discovered it really did rain more on weekends than on weekdays in LA? Everyone used to grumble about it, as you do, but when they looked at the data it really was more likely to rain on a Saturday or Sunday than any other day. It was to do with the interaction of the atmosphere and the pollution from the traffic, which was less on weekends.
