Fancy Dress - The Future

Postby rufio89 » Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:56 am

Helloo,

I'm supposed to be going to a fancy dress party in a few weeks, and the theme is the future. I have NO idea what to wear.

I want to look nice, lol.

Fancy dress is a pain in the ass. How about seeing if you can get a cute robot outfit? You could do something clever from 'back to the future'? or look like the girl from fifth element.

Or you can go as "What you see yourself looking like" in the future?
You know you're a mum when the thought of food shopping alone becomes exciting.

When you and your significant other are having an argument, just take all of your clothes off during the spat and stand there. Something is bound to happen!! =]

Haha, only problem is Rufio did say she wants to look nice and she probably won't look her best dressed as a grandma!! It's still a great idea though.

snail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're SO banned! :P

I was just scrolling down this thread (while stuffing my face with a choc ice... :o ) and coming up with ideas about curlers and slippers - but you got in first...

But it's absolutely true - nobody knows what the future will look like - remember all the science fiction stories which would have us flying our cars round the tops of buildings by now? - no, the future's up for grabs. Get yourself a gorgeous long dress with all the trimmings, and tell everybody that's how you envisage the future. Then look down your nose at all the boring robots at the party...

I agree with Peecee, get a lovely outfit and when someone says "what have you come as?" you can say I came as the sexy woman I am going to be next year (it's the 'future').

I think curlers and granny stuff would be hilarious.

I've chosen my costume now.

It's not a real thing really, I'm just going to look "futurey"

haha, me and my sister are going to match.

We've got: Silver shorts, silver legwarmers, and we've made silver tops out of this awful silver shirt we found in a charity shop. We've also got like toy space-guns from the pound shop, and lots of silver glitter.

haha
