Winning Back Your Ex - Do's and Dont's

Post by Micky » Sun Oct 24, 2010 5:49 pm

People split up for many different reasons but I think how you react when you're apart plays a big part in whether you win back your ex.

I may be talking nonsense and I am not speaking from personal experience but the one bit of advice I would give is to completely cut all contact with your ex in the hope they miss you. I do appreciate that this is lot easier said than done though!

I just thought a do and donts post with everybody's collective thoughts would be beneficial.

What advice/experience can you give?

DO remember why you broke up in the first place.....
You know you're a mum when the thought of food shopping alone becomes exciting.

When you and your significant other are having an argument, just take all of your clothes off during the spat and stand there. Something is bound to happen!! =]

I agree - I think for the most part when people take the decision to split up, it's for a good reason, and ex-partners should remain ex-partners. Although it's inevitable to think about winning someone back if you weren't the one who ended it, it's probably not a good idea.

I had an ex do this, it doesn't always work. I didn't want to get back with him because I broke up with him for a reason. That reasoning didn't change just because I missed him.

100% agree. I did split with my current hubby after 8 and half years and we got back together and have been back together nearly 10 years and are now married but the problems that caused us to split HAD to be resolved or it would never have worked.
Many friends have seen us make it work and asked my advice but then completely ignored it and end up splitting and scratching their heads wondering why.

Notice he is my "current" hubby - there's always room for improvement :-"
