I used to love halloween when I was younger, I always went around a few local streets with my friends and compared who got the most and best sweets at the end of it. I think most of the excitement was getting ready to go out. Hehe, god I feel old! Only 16!!! lol.
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

I like halloween, just as an excuse for getting drunk having a laugh and dressing up.
Holidays are what you make of them.

Im having a party for all the kids.
Candy, decorations and of course the film Hocus pocus hehe.
When Davids older theres not a chance he will go trick or treating. He can have halloween partys etc but theres not a chance he will be knocking on strangers doors, these days you dont know whos behind them.

My mum would never let me go trick or treating, with good reason.

I didn't mind, The Simpsons Halloween Specials are always showing!

Dont know if it just me on this side of the subject but i cant stand halloween or bonfire night. Not cos of commercialism but because of the constant round of bad mannered children/youths knocking on my door all evening, threatening me with eggs and flour, interupting dinner and TV, keeping the baby awake and letting all the heat out of the house, not to mention having to spend about £10 that i dont have on sweets. Well i dont buy any sweets for kids on halloween i was brought up to think its rude to knock on a strangers door and ask for something! Sorry thats just me!

I must have had about 50 kids here tonight and i just dont like it. I was never allowed to do it and wont let my daughter do it. I dont have a problem with parties or dressing up though, just the trick or treating. The kids EXPECT something and have been quite abusive to me when i have told them i dont have anything to give them. I have had my car and house egged and floured, even if i do give them something! I had loads of eggs thrown at my car last year while i was driving it!

Wouldnt mind so much if kids weren't rude and nasty. I dont mind the littleuns that come round with their mums and dads after tea.

Also dont like bonfire night after i saw someone in a crowd get hit by a firework when i was little. It was horrible and ever since i have been petrified of fireworks. Where i live they charge about £2 you to go and watch pathetic fireworks and a pile of sticks on fire - rather watch TV thanks!!!
Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing
cos i'm in love with the inner being

Im lucky, not one person has knocked on my door, although its probably because most of the people are over 60 :D
I do like firework night, and me and stew are going to do a little show for david, just cathrine wheels, nothing that bangs.
Stews mum has a fire work night every year, but im not going to go as it will be to cold for david.
