Out of your list I think Haloween is the scariest
While I was working tonight a customer was telling me about The Ring and this jap version

Night of the living dead is scary as well

Personally, I'd say the exorcist - especially when the girl comes running down the stairs in the crab position - [-o<

I wanted to see the jap version of the ring, but really didn't have the patience with the subtitles. Anyone else seen it?

I thought the Blair Witch Project was terrible and not at all scary!

I have never found a film that really scares me, although Event Horizon comes close!

Apparently Birds by Alfred Hitchcock is pretty bad.

I have added another option in the poll titled 'other'.
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

Just remember to keep smiling!

I thought Children of the Corn was fantastic, and it scared the pants off me!

As for modern horror films, not a lot of them are scary. Most of them are just cheesy. I've got to say that Signs was incredibly frightening!! Despite the fact that not a lot happened, it was very psychological, and even though I've seen it a bazillion times, it still creeps me out!

Blair Witch was awful! The Exorcist is just stupendously funny, but still a timeless classic. The Others was another one that made me jump!

B/F thinks Pet Cemtary was scary. Cradle of Fear was a joke and according to many rock stars who've seen it, it's very funny but cheesy and badly made :)
B/F also thinks IT the Clown was hilarious, but sister thinks book was better.

I reckon the Shining was fantastic but as far as horror goes, it didn't make a hair stand on end.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cabin Fever, but a lot of people say it's dumb.

HOLLOWMAN!! That scared me! :blackcat:

That was full of blood, gorey violence and just generally gross stuff! Doesn't scare me anymore though, I'm used to it.
