Define "British Comedy"? Set in Britain? Written by people from Britain? Broadcast first in Britain? Funded by companies in Britain?

Well, FT was first funded by RTE but then by Channel 4 - it's set in Ireland with Irish writers and actors so I define that as British. Time gents please and Red Dwarf are ok!!!
