Modern or classic cars?

Postby depman » Fri Nov 07, 2003 5:01 pm

Which do you prefer?
Classic cars or modern cars
I prefer classics as I think modern cars are rubbish and all look the same, square and awful looking
I dont like the stupid computers they put in them it causes more harm than good and makes something breakdown in the car all the time
I prefer classics because then you are driving a real car and feel you are driving a car with all the character that goes with it
I drive a ford mondeo at the moment but I have to because of my job
My favourite classics are

Vauxhall Chevette
Ford cortina mk 4/5
Ford Escort mk 2
Mini Clubman (Old version)
Ford Anglia
Ford popular
Hillman minx

What are your thoughts??

I have been more or less forced into liking the classics :D , I am good friends with too many guys I suppose.
Some of my favourites are
'69 Chevelle SS
'79 Camaro I-Roc
And a Rolls...how better does it get then a Rolls?

Well, i like cars that have four wheels, a steering wheel, doors and windows........

To be honest i dont have any preference as long as they get me from A to B. Obviously modern cars have the advantage of being more reliable but also are more expensive to repair...... my stupid computer thing went wrong, i had it replaced and it cost £600. See an old cortina might need a lot of new parts but on a BMW there is so much more that can go wrong (electric windows, satillite tracking (!) )and cost you bucket loads.
Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing
cos i'm in love with the inner being

I'm with the same opinion of saz.

Perhaps even with doors that lock, and maybe a CD player.

Are the GPS tracking things good?

When I was younger I always wanted a pink mini! lol

I prefer modern cars though.
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.
