does anyone like the darkness' new christmas song 'dont let the bells end'? i think it is great and sounds like the brilliant 70's christmas songs by slade and wizzard etc.
Or do you preferre avid merriam's song??

Please dont let Cliff Richard have another christmas no 1. Have you ever noticed with Cliff that all year you hear nothing of him, yet come christmas he's bidding for No 1 slot

The darkness... Definately!

Their song rocks, despite the cheesiness!
"And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To Ireland where my heart lies."

If Christmas offerings were food, then Cliff Richard would be the potato and the rest would be the cheese melted on it.

Well i think Gary Jules with his rendition of "Mad World" will do quite well. For those of you that haven't heard it it's the song from Donnie Darko.

I saw Fast Food Rockers perform at Europride 2003. It was so funny, the guys fly came significantly undone. Not exactly the best move to make when performing in front of a crowd of intoxicated horny gay men he he.

Avid is growing on me - I'd like him to be no. 1.

I seriously don't want it to be the Pop Idols though.

I actually liked the song from Donnie Darko, the film itself was good even though a little weird.

Why have I got this funny feeling Westlife will be number 1?

Just for once i dont want any cheesy Xmas songs to be no.1 (remember Mr. Blobby anyone?) I dont want any manufactured bands to win either with a cover of something. I would like to see some originality for once.

I think the idols will get it. Although atleast it is a Christmassy kind of song. Last Year Girls Aloud didn't even attempt to make their song christmassy. How can you have an Xmas number 1 without it being christmassy I ask you?
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

Just remember to keep smiling!
