Not all songs have to be Xmassy. I just think that manufactured pop should be shot. I am a big fan of originality and bands that have had to work really hard organising their own recordings and gigs.

I think thats why i want the "Mad world" song to do well, its a cover of the Tears for fears song. Great band.

That is a good song Misatok but i would like to see something original up there at no 1 christmas or any time. So many people do covers nowadays, some good some bad but original songs even if they are cheesy are a good thing.
Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing
cos i'm in love with the inner being

True point Saz. A sing-a-long would be good.

I like that song Mad World by (cant remember his name!) Gary something . It was in Donnie Darko which was one of my fave films from last year
Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me.

I used to play that over and over again when Tears for Fears did it in the 80's. I can't decide which version I like best. I think the new one is much more 'moody' than the Tears for Fears one.

For origionality...

Postby Irish Rose » Thu Dec 11, 2003 1:48 pm

The darkness would definately get the origionality vote

They're not a "manufactured" band, have their own style, and play great music. Plus their song isn't a cover of anything.

(there's some guys just outside, here at college playing music. They were doing the darkness a couple minutes ago. - There was a guy on drums and one playing electric guitar)
"And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To Ireland where my heart lies."
