I've moved this topic to the Chit Chat forum since it's more of a general research matter.

Loads of times
Small heartaches and very large long heartaches I have had

My own personal opinion is that men hurt more than women

Yep i have experienced it and it was horrible. At the time you think you will never recover but you do. The person who hurt me the most has really done some damage i do find it hard to let people that close again, in case it all goes wrong and i dont want to feel that way again.
Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing

I am going through it, has lasted 6 weeks so far and it is getting no better, just worse. Don't ever want to feel this way again, it is the worst feeling in the world. I still really love my ex and wish we could work things out. I don't think men hurt more than women. My ex knows I am really seriously ill but he wants nothing to do with me at all, doesn't even care if I am ok.

Broken? yes...torn apart? yes...and no, it's still not fixed. Well over a year later...
I really think the only proper remedy for a lost love is to find a new one...I'm not talking about a rebound...but a true love. In which case I'll have heartache for a while.

Or you could get into meaningless relationships and displace your hurt onto other people!

I think women hurt men more. Nowadays we have the 'new' man. Women seem to think that because his a guy hell get over it. In my experience as guys are now allowed to be more loving and sensitive its hard for us to let go. I dont want to let go. Never.

I agree with that also. But I also have to say that generally (notice I said generally) men tend to play the field more and leave in their wake a crop of broken hearts. But yes, I do know that there are women out there who do the same thing.

I dont know if thats true about women hurting men more, I've been with two guys properly now and both them have hurt me. One cheated on me (dont know what i expected really, i knew what he was like) and then last week split up with ex, broke my heart. He's hurting too but he was the one who initiated it.....
