Postby Mr.L » Wed Jan 21, 2004 8:33 pm

What doy uo do to escape the harshness of reality?

Me and my friends usualy get drunk and smoke weed. Doing it this saturday. It may be a bad approach but it helps me block out the pain.

Drink and drugs worsen the problem. Just go out and have a laugh!
Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me.

I like to go for a long walk and daydream of the girl I love. Sometimes I immerse myself in a good computer game for hours. Just imagining you are shooting bad guys can be a welcome break from some of life's monotonies.

When all things in life seem blue,
And there's nothing you can do,
There is One you can turn to,
His name is Jesus, He loves you.

Don't look before you leap, you'll only decide to sit down.

I wallow in it. Or write about it. Or work on my novel which is driving me up the wall at the moment! But the best thing is just to let it all go and go out nad have fun.

I always write in my diary or I have a lazy day which is quite often! I just sit around and watch stupid cartoons all day, I have to make sure I have a good supply of junk food before I sit down though!

If things are really getting to me and I need to relax, I usually go and visit my dad in London for a few days.

Other than that, I go for a walk, or go flying. Flying does wonders for me! Theres nothing like flying high above everyone at 2500ft, watching them live their lives whilst I cruise accross the sky.

All the best,

Capt Flynn

On the flip side of the coin, hiding from the 'harshness of reality' may not be a good thing. It's ok to get out and clear your mind once in a while, but trying to shut out reality all together is a dangerous thing. It's called 'reality' for a reason.

Does your view regard classified drugs only? If you put things into perspective we all use drugs every day. Coffee is a drug for example.

I think I must be on a constant escape, because the things I do when I'm down are the same things I do when I'm not! he he
