Star Trek vs Star Wars

Postby markh » Sun Jan 25, 2004 8:10 pm

Does anyone have any opinions as to which is the best. Personally for me it has to be Star Trek. Star Wars is great action, special effects etc but Star Trek has all this and the added morals. I personally believe that Star Trek is the closest thing to what Man should be trying to achieve for the future. Anyway give me your views.

There is One you can turn to,
His name is Jesus, He loves you.

I dont hate Star Trek but Star Wars is just a great series which you can really get into. I.e. the films, the trekky ones are mainly pants except for Wrath Of Khan but all the Star Wars ones are worldwide hits.

I don't understand the whole star trek and star wars thing! I havn't ever watched more than 2 minutes of each one but to me that's a good thing!

I don't think if I did start watching them now though I would understand them! What is the point in both of them? are they both tryin to fight some big evil?

Oh....I always thought they were really similar, I thought they were both set on spaceships and they were just fighting aliens or something and trying to get home!

The first Star Wars I watched was just this past October because I'd fallen in love with Ewan McGregor and wanted to see more of him! :D (he plays a younger Obi Wan Kenobe)
My girlfriend's husband is a complete Star Wars freak...he owns every possible movie, DVD, collection of them that can possibly be found. I told him I had watched the first one, and he was so proud of me! Lol, he said I had to watch the rest, so that night I stayed over nad he and I stayed up the entire night, doing a complete Star Wars marathon!
It was fun, and I do like the series, although I prefer the newer ones to the classics.
I've never cared for Star Trek and personally couldn't sit through an entire episode even if you made me.
HE has all the answers

The wait for that perfect someone may be long and painful, but the payoff lasts even longer, and is the most painless thing in the world.
