Are computer games getting boring?
Posted: Thu Apr 08, 2004 10:43 am
I haven't played on my PS2, gamecube, gba and all other systems i have for months now and whenever i get a new game im bored of it within a few days.
I used to love my computer games and i miss them but i go through them to find one to play i dont feel like playing any of them. are games becoming more boreing and if so is it because its just the same thing over and over again or something else or have i just grown passed the need for computer games?

Perhaps this is because you have changed and are finding contentment in other areas of life.

I think that your taste maybe changing, or it could be that all games are quite honestly alike now.
Today, I played my N64 and played Mario Kart with my cousin. I had so much fun playing it, eventhough it's cast as an old game now.
I think another thing is that games maybe too realistic and this may leave you without having anything to "wish for"? Sometimes its fun to play a game and say "if they make another version, it would be cool if they added in....."
I must say, regarding the playstation, I only ever enjoyed playing GTA1. I much favoured Nintendo, and I even sometimes still play my Sega Megadrive (streets of rage 1/2/3, Road Rash, EA hockey...etc)

Y'know, a person who is bored of their computer games is bored of life. Are you also losing interest in other activities? I think you should seek help urgently!!!
I still love gaming and I'm sure I always will. Everyone goes through phases where they don't play for a while - even me! Especially when you have stuff going on in your real life.

I think games are taking longer to be released

Maybe you just get bored easily as i do. I bought a gameboy when the new ones came out, played it a few times (got obsessed with Mario) and then haven't touched it for months on end. I get addicted to a game but once you have played it, know it inside out and complete it, the fun has gone.
I also get frustrated and think of other things i should be doing. Maybe you should take a break from the games for a while, start to miss them and then it will seem like fun all over again.

PS2 is better its just plug in and play
With PC's its loading it all up and all the complications that go with it
Wrong drive/wont work on all PC's/Need upgrade/all sorts of things
Playstation Is big and it will be for the forseeable future and I hope so
Games on PSX are a million times better than PC
I find most PC games rubbish (apart from my train simulations

Yeah, I actually agree. PS2 is more hands on. PC is better for Champ manager

i must disagree my pc is just below vice citys min specs and the graphics are still better than ps2 and it has a very fast loading time i wouls say equal to ps2
