Yep and very pale, and if you're female, you can have very heavy periods...my sister had anaemia as well and she bled for 8 weeks constantly...

I wanted to donate but was denied out right, just because I've slept with a guy. Its the automatic idea that theres "something wrong" with me because of that I found harsh.

I always mean to...

But they always want blood at a time I cannot get to the donation site! If somebody is willing to take care of my children (the eldest of whom is disabled) while I give blood, I'd be happy to oblige.

I can't donate at the moment, cos I got my ear cartilage pierced in July... so I can't donate for six months.

Had a full blood test (for EVERYTHING) after my op this year and was clean but, I guess thats not enough.

Last time i try to help the blood bank people :P

i think that is really out of order because if someones blood is clean then they could be the peoples next hope to save someone!
