Do you believe in destiny?

Postby sparkly_star » Fri Dec 24, 2004 12:06 am

Does anyone here believe in destiny? the idea that things are predetermined? Not nessarily in a religious way.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

hmmmmm,

to be honest i really don't know. It is a lovely idea of little coincidences all forming together and creating a well timed meeting. But i think you can make it happen to. You can't just wait for something to happen like in the films, because it probably won't!! :D

Yes, I do. A few things have happened in my life that I thought were bad at the time but turned out good. Seconds count

I think I do....hmm lol. Don't think it's the only thing that like 'controls' your life, it's what you do that counts as well.

Dunno lol..kinda, um...well mine seem to be..by my parents lol

Didn't really mean control lol um...just like some people think that your life is already planned out for you..but even if it is..i just don't think it's just that, that does decide how your life is...

Okay..I'm just getting confused! :-?

Something made me take the S-bahn
which is weird, I normally take the U-bahn, it's quicker and it stops right outside my house

I know. How tragic would that have been?

In all seriousness, it is true.

If I didn't grab David's ass at the bar then he might not be my boyfriend now!

There are lots of things that happen that just can't seem to have been a complete accident.

Yeah, so I think I do believe in fate and destiny... but I do believe that within our own fates we get our own choices and it all depends which choice we make, which leads us to the path we end up on. Especially those things we decide on in spilt seconds, that we do or don't do because we just have a "feeling" about them.

I think I do....... I mean if it hadn't have been for my mums terrible driving I wouldn't have met my step-brother gary and fallen madly in love with him.
But then again it wouldn't have caused so much trouble in the family.
Even after we split we kept bumping into each other and there was just something there drawing us back together. Now we have been back with each other for just over 4 months and I am pregnant with twins!!!

So yeah I believe if you're meant to be with someone or do something or even be somewhere it's gonna happen no matter what!!!
