The whip is the first man-made object to break the sound barrier -
the noise of the crack of a whip is the result of its tip breaking the sound barrier.

Did you know...

A Kangaroo can't jump unless its tail is touching the ground.

Camels chew in a figure 8 pattern.

Elephants are the only mammals that can't jump.

There is no word in the English language that rhymes with 'orange'.

It is impossible to fold a piece of paper - no matter how big it is - more than 7 times.

The word 'school' comes from the Greek word 'Schole' - which, literally translated, means 'Leisure'. - Haha, yeah right! :D

The common 52 card pack, developed by a Frenchman in 1392, symbolises the calendar:

52 cards - number of weeks per year
4 suites - the four seasons
13 cards in a suit - number of weeks in a season
Red and black - day and night.

:P Just a few for you all.

Just a little note about that last one there...it is absoluely true, and if you want to know a horrid story...here's one:

A woman went to the doctor complaining of her tongue hurting. Long story short, she had cockroach larvae growing inside her tongue! Her job at work? Included licking the stamps for outgoing mail. I didn't believe it at first, but it is a true story...and although that is a VERY rare thing...I still refuse to lick stamps. (Fortunately we have sticker stamps now)

So what else does everyone know?
