Today I have received a number of fake e-mails that try to look as though they are from ProblemPages. They have subject lines such as...

'Members Support'
'Account suspended for security reasons'
'Important Notification'
'Security Measures'
'Online User Violation'
'Your password has been updated'

They appear to come from random e-mail addresses @, some examples are...

Some of them actually mention your username. They all have a file attached, some of them ask you to open the attached file in order to update your account.

These e-mails are fake - ProblemPages will NEVER EVER send file attachments and we very rarely send e-mails to users. If you receive one of these e-mails delete it and DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT!!!

I will post more info in announcements as soon as I learn more about these e-mails and the attachments.

The e-mails are coming from a computer infected with a virus.

The virus is a worm which spreads by sending itself as an email attachment to email addresses it finds on the infected computer - in this case it has found a ProblemPages e-mail address on a computer somewhere.

While this virus is around please do not trust any e-mail that appears to be from If you do receive an e-mail that appears to be from ProblemPages just delete it. If you are still unsure please PM me.
