Pierced ears!

Postby PurePurple » Sat Nov 04, 2006 12:48 am

Hey, 10 weeks ago I had my ears peirced.

It was hell from day 1 and they kept getting infected - and still do

I just wondered if anyone had any advice for stopping that.
I used the stuff I got when I first got them done, and Ive used anti bacterial spray, but theyre slowly stopping working.

Thanks
xx

Yes, I have, Purple.

When I got my ears pierced, I used to clean the earrings in my Johnsons Clean and Clear stuff that was supposed to be used for my face. I did the same when I had the top of my ears pierced as well, and it worked really well.

It worked much better on my ears than it did on my face, meh.

Or try wiping your ear lobes gently with tea tree oil, it's a natural, very powerful but gentle antiseptic, which can kill bacteria from 20 paces. If you don't have any at home, you can get it from most stores or healthfood shops. I use it for everything except putting in my cider.

bet neither of you fainted when you had YOUR ears pierced...

i love the smell of that spray you get when you get ya ears or belly button done....mmmmm. haha. just make sure ya keep turning them when you can....if there giving you that much trouble maybe you should take them out and wait till they heal then have them re-done somewhere else. if not then go back to the place you had them done and see what they say.

hope they get better soon :D

I was alaways told to wash my ears with salt water when i had mine piereced because it helped with the infection. I had one in my left here not in both and although it stung a little with salt water it worked a treat.

I always used Surgical Spirit when I had mine done, but that was a while ago, so there's probably better things on the market now. Much sympathies to you though, Purple - every piercing I've had blew up and got infected...nice! :grrr:
