So what dress sense does an emo have?

From where i come from up the north east a typical "emo" would be sportin the skinny jeans, tight t shirt, fringe over the face, and pink/black/white converse. Personally i think skinny jeans look better on women when they wear high heels, but yanno i suppose people have their own personal opinion on fashion sense lol. oh and their hair would be probably jet black, bleach blonde or pink lol.

So really Emo, Chav..etc is just stereotyping and generalising, which is what most people appear to say is wrong to do?

yes i also think the whole skinny jean thing looks better on women. Where I live the guys that wear the skinny jeans forget that their bellies hang over their jeans so it doesnt always lok good! Also some are so tight i wonder how they manage to get into them!

I kno yeah.. i dont get it me, iv got 2 pairs of skinny jeans (which i only wear under boots not converse) but i like dance/trance music, aswell as a bit of indie, so wat would you label me as? my bf is a dj for italian dance music and he wears tracky bottoms and nike air max, which would say he is a chav yeh? but he doesnt act like one he is very shy and polite and doesnt go round smashing car windows in and taking drugs lol, btw im not stereotyping here im just wondering why ppl stereotype ppl by the clothes they wear or by the music they listen to??? also if there is a typical band i like such as greenday or summit, then does that make me a goth? er no

I think your question's been answered, Jess123, so I'm locking this topic before it turns into a debate.
