Hobbies/Interests

Postby rufio89 » Tue Apr 14, 2009 9:54 am

What are your hobbies/interests?

People keep asking me what mine are, and to be honest, I dont really have any. All I really do is go to work, go to my boyfriends, eat, sleep and go out drinking :(

But I'd like to have interests but I just dont really know where to start. I dont really feel like I'm that interested in anything.

I love reading books, me and my friends swap with each other and it sort of grown into something really big where loads of people who know people do it so no one has to buy any and we get loads of different books

Also I play my DS alot but I have a speical memory stick and can download games for free so it doesn't cost much

I love acting and am seriously conisdering going back to join an ameatuer dramatics group.

Most hobbies do cost money though, I keep tropical fish and they are certainly not cheap to start up but running costs are reasonably low. I have an aquatic trutle too but consider him a pet rather than a hobby

Oh where do you get such a stick from and where do you download them from?

I think the book idea is good - there is always the library; we have a hugely popular second hand book shop - when you take books back they give you money for them so it's relatively cheap.

I like Bel Bels fish idea however I wouldn't class them as a hobby - I have gold fish and I've had fish for 17-18 years so they aren't a hobby. Could you take up a musical instrument and teach yourself (you can get cheap ones from the internet).

My son is really my main hobby. Since he doesn't live with me I take every opportunity to go and visit him, which i'm delighted to say is almost every day.

Once he's in his bed, I like to spend time making wooden toys. The link below goes to a picture of a wooden Diesel locomotive that I made for Adam. I also made a few wagons as well.

I'd LOVE to be able to make wooden toys.

Where my friend comes from in Germany they specialise in making wooden toys and one christmas she brought back a wooden carousel; it was beautiful, it went around and if I remember it even had music.

Brilliant handiwork, Christmas. I'm confused, where do you put the diesel in though?
