Sexual Pain?

Postby rufio89 » Thu Mar 19, 2009 9:36 am

I only get this occasionally, so I'm not really concerned so much as curious.

Sometimes, when I'm having sex (it only happens when he's on top), I get a really bad pain around where my right ovary is. Does anyone know what this could be? It feels like he's pressing on my ovaries or something, which unless my knowledge of anatomy is a LOT worse than I thought, isnt possible. I also get it throughout the whole month, not just when I'm on my period or ovulating, but it's on and off so I've not given it much thought.

I was actually just thinking because I posted a problem a while ago asking whether you can get a swollen ovary because i had a sharp pain in that same place, that hurt when I pressed on it.

Do you think there could be a problem with my ovaries?? It's always on that same side...

I used to get a pain around the area of one of my ovaries - most of the time it was the left one and for a while it alternated sides each month lol. All of a sudden it just stopped.

If you are worried about it then go to the doctors.

Nope

It happened for about 2-3 weeks out of a month as well; but everytime I had time (2 jobs and a full time uni course) to go to the doctors it didn't hurt.

yeah I can only go to the doctors on a tuesday night because it's the only day they open late so it's a bit of a pain to get there, plus they never have any appointments. I've been getting it on and off for ages though so maybe I should go to the docs just to make sure nothings wrong. I'd hate to keep thinking it's nothing then end up infertile or something.

Just call them up weeks in advance if you can.

i used to get something like this and it turned out i have a pee sized cyst on my ovary
apparently it's quite common and the have never treated it and said it will either go away, stay as it is or get worse, in which case they would remove it
Get checked out to be on the safe side but it's probably nothing to worry about

Don't be embarrased i think that knowing others suffer often helps and also it's often easier to relate to something if you talk about how it affects you and sometimes people go "oh yeah that happens to me too".

Thank you Bel Bel :D that does make me feel better, I just find that it is easier for me to give advice when relating it back to my own personal experiences
