Implant

Postby LemonJuice87 » Thu Apr 16, 2009 11:23 am

I had the Implant yesterday morning.

My arm is sore and i spose in the long run it's all worth it.

Has anyone else on here had it or got it?

Because afterwards i felt weird, like all my energy had been sucked out. And i generally felt rubbish last night and went to bed early. I assumed it was all in my mind as there is something in my arm that i know really shouldnt be there.
You know you're a mum when the thought of food shopping alone becomes exciting.

When you and your significant other are having an argument, just take all of your clothes off during the spat and stand there. Something is bound to happen!! =]

I haven't had it, a few friends have but I don't think they had symptoms from it.

You may just be feeling weird because its something new or if you are anything like me it's because it was an injection (or whatever) and you know it's happened etc. Give it a few more days and if you still feel dodgy call the place back and ask them.

I've just read about the side effects of it but there didn't seem to be that many.

Hi Lemonjuice,

I had the implant done in 2005, it didn't work for me at all, it made me feel down and miserable and I was constantly spotting. It may have needed for me to wait a bit longer for it to settle, but I wasn't happy to keep it.

My older sister now has it, and as far as I know it works for her.

Also for the lack of energy your body might have gotten a "shock" at the implant going in and you lost the energy because it's still recovering from the shock.

When I donate blood my body goes into "shock" when I can feel the needle and I generally pass out because of it. It's just how our bodies cope with these foreign bodies...

I'm fine today.

Mr. LemonJuice just came home to get his Golf Clubs (YAWN!!! Lol) and said i looked much better and sounded better.
I'm just gonna guess it was because the size of the needle, everytime i think about it i shudder lol.

My arm is still abit tender but at least i can move it abit more without it really hurting.

I'm gonna give it a few months and see how i feel. If i stil feel rubbish and i've gone even more moody than i was when i was on the pill then i'll come off it and take my chances with something else.

Thanks for your replies though guys!! =D
