You can buy Canesten cream in most of the supermarkets.

Remember that under the foreskin doesn't count as internal use, so it's safe for him to use that.

My hubby always uses the womans cream. I had no idea it was for females only
Juts buy him a tube of canestan and get yourself a tablet, much quicker treatment than all these creams

Changing washing powder ofetn sets me off, I stick to faoiry now, if it's good enough for kids it's good enough for me :D

Caestan cream is an antifungal cream and men can use it - its just Chemists are so anxious about getting it wrong that they are reluctant to sell it to guys (its less commonly found in men as we wear looser fitting clothes and therefore the warm moist conditions arent such a breeding ground!)

However i had thrush when i took antibiotics and canestan cleared it up quite quickly. As you have been diagnosed and know what it is, there is no problem with him using the cream externally.
whatever your problem someone else has been there and bears the scars.

If my thrush is caused by the change of washing powder will this mean that for as long as I use that washing powder I will have thrush? Doesn't seem to be clearing up ya see! This is my second dose of the cream and iv now had it for four weeks I think! First time iv had it too so its really annoying me and I feel as if its never gonna go away :( x

Hi chosenfew - time to go back to the doc's i think :-?

four weeks is extremely long for this to be going on! as well as your washing powder, think of the underwear you're wearing as well, tight fitting underwear is really bad and you should always wear cotton. avoid wearing tights as well. perfumed soaps can also set it off. I've had thrush once and the creams cleared it up straight away, but if they're not working for you there may be another treatment available.
not if you were the last dandy on earth

You probably just one of those unlucky people who gets it real bad when you do get it.
Hope you get completely better soon :)
