What to do?

Postby Maf » Fri Apr 25, 2003 7:03 pm

My girlfriend and I had been going out for 5 months when a truly awful thing happened. Her best mate from back home - also an ex although long ago - had a diving accident and is now paralysed.

My now ex-girlfriend called it off with me, saying she loves me but can't be with me, as she loves him too.

I'd do anything to be with her again.

Whilst I know I should move on, I know deep down I could never be as happy as I was with her.

Please help

It can be quite hard to put things behind you especially when you still have a lot of feelings for a person. Your GF may be reacting extreme to her friends misfortune and although she does care about you she needs to be with him as thats what friends do. Give her some time and talk to her alone. If she doesnt want to, give her time. If it doesnt work out then put it behind you. go out, have fun. Be with your own friends, who knows you may meet your next girlfriend...
