Depending on where you live, I'd suggest waitressing as a great solution. I did that from age 16 all through college and I had heaps more money than all of my friends because of the tips. Chain restaurants are the best, because you don't have to pool your tips, and these also hire more regularly. They probably won't advertise on the job centre because they often rely on people coming in to the restaurant to ask. Give it a go.
