Don't churchill advertise that they guarantee to save you money?...if so they've always been one of the most expensive ones for me.

Yeah i think they do guarentee to save you money, although i think the big appeal with them at the moment is that i think they're offering discounted or free contents insurance (although not 100% on that so i wouldn't quote me on it). Plus they have the whole "we only have uk based call centres" which appeals to a lot of the older clients

That is what I thought, except they've always been way more expensive for me...I always wondered do I phone them up and say "you guaranteed to save me money, you don't. What now?"

A company I was with had UK call centres too but I don't remember who it was, it certainly wasn't churchill though.

Thanks for all the responses.

I've tried direct line as well now and I got a quote for over £500! I'm currently with Churchill, so I will give them a call and ask for a quote but I usually find that my current insurer tends to give a ridiculous quote to renew the insurance.

It looks like I won't be getting it any cheaper than around £400 *sigh*

Try getting a quote online with them. You get a 10% discount.

I was with 'more than' last year, they offered me a high renewals quote. I checked out what I could get on line (i.e. cheaper); called to say I wouldn't be renewing and then went straight online and went back to my SAVED quote and bought that. Save your quote when you do it cos sometimes when you go back you can't get it as cheap; if you get it cheaper save the cheapest one.
