Pregnant and no job :(

Hi,

im 17 weeks pregnant and reecently my contract of employment ended at the company i was with.
My boyfriend and i rent a flat.

Now what do i do? no one will employe a pregnant woman?!!!

Im really worried that we will struggle with paying for everything!! help!!

Hi FM,

That's a bit of sticky situation you're in but there are some options available to you.

I'm not sure what field you worked in but if it was administration work then you could sign up with a agency for some temp work that could keep you in employment until your due date? Alternatively, you could apply for the dole or other social welfare supports until you are ready and fit to go back to work full time. Either way, call into the agency offices and social welfare offices and see what information or help they can give you. Good luck!

Yes :) decided to keep baby in the end after a lot of thought!
Best decision we ever made, now both me and my partner are very very excited.

Just me with no job now :(
