I've had it :o . They seemed really shocked that I was nervous before and after; I can't help it :(.

I still don't think I'll get the job; they were asking loads about presentation skills and I've only done presentations at uni 4-5 years ago - but that isn't my fault really.

Edit: The interviewee after me is the girl who is leavings right hand woman - bye bye to the slim chance I had.

Any update Dipsy?

I don't know why they were shocked you were nervous - it's natural to be nervous before interviews, even if you know the interviewers etc. (in fact, I think that can make it worse sometimes).

No, we find out on Friday (hopefully). I'm expecting the worse.

Yea I was nervous becasue it was people I know and it's not like I can big myself up much becasue they know who I am, what I do etc...At the end the woman did say to me that she found it hard interviewing someone she knew (she seemed nervous herself) her reasons are "we've been out, we've had drinks, we know each other and it's hard". I mean we have a girly weekend with work and generally all the girls go - it's a "shopping weekend" although we don't do much shopping :)

Well I think it's going to be a case of who you know and not what you know and I don't think it will come across in my favour. I've resorted to the fact I'm not getting it - I will still be disappointed but then if I get it at least it's something nice for the weekend.

I think thats the best way to think about it. Assume you won't get it and carry on as you were but if you get it then it will be really nice
Fingers crossed for you anyway

The results are in....shock horror I didn't get it. Suprisingly they picked the girl who works on their department already even though they said that experience didn't matter. However they were appaled by how little experience I've been given - so hopefully something will happen soon - although they've been promising me experience for 3 years. Hopefully I'll have my appraisal next week or the week after to discuss it further.

The man who did my interview said we could have a chat next week to give me feedback for future purposes. I did also point out it was my first "formal" interview.

Well I had a half yearly appraisal yesterday...shock horror my boss is letting me do work on another department starting TODAY YAYAYAYAYAYAY.

Well I don't think it was my boss; when I had my interview the bloke who did it was suprised and shocked by how little work had given me - I think he spoke to his department "leaders" and here I am starting today :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I also mentioned to someone at work (Paul)- someone semi-senior that I was so fed up of doing the same thing and being over looked - apparently my boss asked if Paul wouldn't mind having me help out occasionally; personally I think Paul mentioned it to my boss...

Anyway I should have some work to do :D :D :D :D :D
