contract ending....

Postby spacegirl » Mon Jun 14, 2010 11:50 pm

I find out tomorrow (hopefully) whether my contract in work is being renewed.... my stomach's in knots! I say hopefully because in the past month they've been saying things like "we'll tell you tuesday" "we'll tell you friday"... but this time they've been making decisions on ppls jobs all week so i really hope to know either way tomorrow! there are no jobs out there, I've applied for 6 in the past month and haven't got one interview :( fingers crossed...

Got everything crossed, Snail, but we won't go into that just now...

Spacegirl, let us know the MINUTE they give you the news - dash to the PC in their office, if you like, and just ignore them when they call Security. :P

Good luck.

That sucks Spacegirl.

I will keep my fingers crossed that either you get extended or you find a job that you really like and get it.

Any news Spacegirl?! My contract has been extended until March 2011, which is better than nothing, tho I was originally told it'd be extended until September 2011, so it's half the time they originally said.

At least they extended it at all, that's better news than it could have been. Lets hope they re extend in March again.

Yeh, tho there's a clause in it which allows them to review the situation and give me a shorter contract at any time they like. Fingers crossed for March, though I don't think it's likely.

Ok so they aren't renewing my post :( can't say I'm surprised to be honest, with the budgets yesterday I was just waiting on it. I work in a tourist board in the business tourism unit, and people are opting for video conferencing etc and staying in the office these days so I was half expecting it. I've a month left in here, then who knows. I'm gutted, I was really good at this job!
Also terrified, got another rejection letter in the post this morning. :(
