Hi there 'lovefool'

Ok well can I just say thats its great she has her brothers girlfriend by her side :)

I would advise she has a talk to a doctor about the next course of action - is she ready to bring up a child on her own? This is a very big dission and she will need everyones support

Yes - she probably done the wrong thing in actually meeting the guy and having unprotected sex as now she is pregant - but now she has learned from it which is a good thing :)

in your pst you said that she hasself harmed in the past - so how about conselling? Also she could take up a hobby as you say she is quite lonely

gd luck

knowing she has loving and supportive people around her will take the worst sting of the situation out of this.

Given that her experiance was negative, why not go to the brook clinic with her and you could both have a sexual health check up. This could give you reasurance for checking for breast and cervical cancer (clinics arent just for stds) and give her a check for STDs. It could also give her chance to access counselling and sexual health advice away from the GP (its totally confidential).

Low self esteem and sexual risk taking are often linked, and its a cycle she needs to break. So i would suggest this as a way of dealing with two issues at once.

Well that's good that she's not pregnant
