I'm not sure what to do right now

Postby PinkBlueBird » Fri Sep 25, 2009 10:20 pm

I just got home to news that after a brain scan, the doctors found a brain tumour in my little brother.

he's been ill for ages, and no-one knew what was wrong with him.

I don't know when any of this happened, but my mobile broke today and no-one could contact me, and i feel awful.

My boyfriends phone is switched off, and I have no-one to talk to.

my only friend on msn right now is someone i'm not very close to.

I'm totally panicking because no-one knows weather it's going to be okay, and my little brother is really sweet and awesome.

I'm supposed to be moving in with my bofriend this week but I don't know if we can just yet now that this has come up.

I need general advice and help.

Hi PinkBlueBird,

I am really sorry at your news.

Don't feel bad, it's a really difficult thing, but you weren't to know you needed your phone on.

On what you should do, that is really up to you, I think that moving in with your boyfriend could still continue, but you will need to spend lots of time with your brother. I have never been in your situation, so it may not be the best advice. But go with what your gut says is right.

Don't panic yet. Some tumours are easily treated.
If you don't move in with your b/f yet are there any finacial issues you will leave your b/f with?
Will moving in stop you seeing your brother as much? If not then it might be a good idea to move as you will have him there to support you most of the time. Your parents will be wrapped up in the situation with your brother so they may not be able to support you very well right now
When will you find out what happens next with regard to treatment?
I hope things are not as bad as if first seems
