Single AGAIN

Postby drummingman3 » Sun Nov 22, 2015 4:33 pm

I'm single again, both women I've lived with I lived with them between 8 and 10yrs, both run off with another man...when am I going to actually find someone that wont run off..what am I doing wrong??

Where indeed will I find this person, I'm running out of ideas...online dating doesnt have many women in my area.

Without more information it's impossible to know what went wrong in your relationships but lots of relationships don't last, it's not just you.

You might have to travel further afield if there are not many women in your area. Also, keep looking and trying, as the membership of dating sites changes all the time.

You say "lived with" so can I assume that means not married. My guess is that they thought you were a good prospect for a permanent relationship ( marriage ), as no offer was forthcoming after 8 yrs plus, which is quite a long time they decided to try elsewhere. At the end of the day women want security and certainty either from a committed partner or from their own independence.
Of course if they both left for a common reason the ball is in your court to change your ways

It's most likely they, for one reason or another, had just had enough, fell out of love or got fed up with a behaviour you weren't addressing and instead of dealing with the problem they ran off with other people
Not everyone will do this but often people try to find a new partner before leaving the old one as they can't stand to be alone
Have you asked what went wrong?

Sometimes it is nothing that you do. I have been in relationships and twice cheated on. Now I am in a relationship with a man who would never cheat on me and is so laid back beyond compare.

Life is hard and sometimes things just don't work out. Did either give you a reason to why they looked elsewhere? if not maybe it was nothing that you did.

I would advise against online dating. Many are players that flit from one to another and rarely want a relationship. I would stick to enjoying being single for the time being and getting to know a person first before getting too serious. Explain your fears and concerns with a future partner when you have been dating and remember the key to every good relationship is communication. Ensure that you can talk about any situation.
