Look at the dates!

Postby Llisa » Sun Aug 10, 2003 4:17 am

I don't know about the rest of you, but I sometimes find it annoying, but mostly humourous when I receive a notice that there's a new post on a certian topic...and the topic has been written months ago. A lot of hte problems that people post on here need a response fairly quickly. Some of them don't, mind you, but most. So when I see a post that's something like "I'm going out with this guy tomorrow...yadda yadda yadda...what should I do?" and then a month later someone is just getting around to answering it. I don't know, is this just a personal pet peeve of mine or do others feel the same way?

The wait for that perfect someone may be long and painful, but the payoff lasts even longer, and is the most painless thing in the world.

It can be a bit annoying at times, but sometimes people do have useful information to pass on...

Even if the post was a month or two ago, if other people with the same problem look on the page the advice can benifit them too.

If it's bothering you just click on the bit that says you dont want to view this topic anymore.

Problem solved.

May you get responses on this for may months to come. HeHe

Yeah - but it's kinda funny when you read them and see that the person who has replied obviously took a loooong time thinking about it and replying - all that hard work for nothing ;-)

And again!! :P

I love it when someone posts a problem, people answer it (for the next two years  ), and the poster never comes back to tell us what wonderful advice we've given them!

Perhaps it's so good that they don't need to come back...? :)
